Fun Farm Wedding – When Joshua Married Jack
Josh + Jack chose to get married at home, on their farm, surrounded by all of their animals. It was epic. Now, I appreciate that is a strong word, but it is absolutely appropriate for this incredible farm wedding.
They hired some amazing local suppliers, but so much was DIY, either by themselves or their incredible friends, like the hay bales I was greeted with on my way up the drive.
The grooms had legally married a couple of days before, and they chose their local vicar, Sally (my fave!), to perform their beautiful wedding blessing – outside in their amazing front garden, on a stage they set up in the centre, with guests seated on hay bales all around them. I asked about a wet weather plan and, basically, wet weather just wasn’t an option! So brave in Wales, but it absolutely paid off!
Each groom had their own aisle, Josh walked down with his best friend and his dog, Panda, and Jack walked down with his mum. They were sang down the aisle by my recommended supplier Emma Katherine, and met in the middle for their incredibly emotional service, which also featured a little four-legged wedding crasher!
After the ceremony, Jack + Josh chose to disappear inside with their best people for a cocktail while all of their guests dispersed. Then after family photos and a bit of a mingle, we went for a walk around the farm, visited their horses and grabbed a few portraits before rejoining their guests at the marquee.
Josh & Jack had a huge marquee, from Burgoynes Marquees, with every table named after one of their beloved pets. They also chose a shot for every guest as their wedding favours, and flowers from local florist Melanie Worgan.
Their catering was by recommended supplier Sugarloaf Catering, who also helped with so much of the running of the day, thanks to Sammie (who also works for Laura Beth Events, another recommended supplier) and chef Mark for looking after me so well.
The two grooms and their best people made such an incredible entrance into the marquee, it really set the tone for the remainder of the afternoon! They all had their own entrance and came in dancing and cheering, which continued onto the top table.
Jack + Josh had the idea that they wanted to try and get a photo with every table – all 15 of them – while being timed against the song Grease Lightning. It was probably the most fun and chaotic 5 minutes I’ve ever had at a wedding, remarkably I didn’t fall over!!
Emma Katherine sang a more upbeat set after the meal and the vibe was just electric. The grooms opted against going for more photos so they could join in with space hopper races and dancing on the lawn. They told me to capture the vibe, which I think I did!
In the evening they had a local band, Soul’d Out and the dancefloor was absolutely heaving. This was a hard wedding to leave! Congratulations Josh + Jack!

Burgoynes Marquees
The marquee was absolutely magnificent. It had to be big enough for over 120 guests, and it still felt really spacious.
